Welcome to our little jewel, nestled into a corner of our farm. Stepping outside onto the verandah, you will be greeted with the most amazing panoramic views of the Waitaki Valley. Settlement View is a wonderful place to rest up and recharge the batteries after a hard day in the saddle on the Alps to Ocean trail.
Our new cottage-style building is divided into three large modern and spacious self-contained units, one being disability friendly. Each unit has an en-suite bathroom and kitchenette. There is a separate laundry facility.
Even though we have a gorgeous rural outlook we are only a 3-minute drive from the centre of Kurow.

Ideally placed alongside the majestic Waitaki River, the town of Kurow lies at the heart of the Waitaki Valley.
A rich history including the birthplace of today’s modern social security scheme, and of course the birthplace of Richie McCaw, former World Cup winning All Black captain.
Kurow is the perfect stopping off point for a night or two as part of the Alps to Ocean cycle trail.
Eat & Drink, The Waitaki Valley is one of Otago’s newest winery regions.
Just outside of town heading towards Duntroon, is the River-T Estate. The world’s largest stockist of Waitaki Valley wines. In town, we have the award-winning Ostler Wine, and their cellar door The Vintners Drop.
There’s the art deco-style Waitaki Hotel, for some good old honest pub grub.
Things to do, Horse rides, trout fishing, hiking and even a local ski-field (Awakino) are all right here on your doorstep.
Take a hike up the Kurow Hill walkway for incredible views of the Waitaki & Hakataramea Valleys.
Wander round the Kurow Museum to get an insight of our town’s rich history. And it’s free.
